Your first class

Starting a new activity can be a daunting experience, here's what to expect and what to bring with you to make the most of your first class...

What to Expect...

All of my classes are small, informal and friendly with a maximum of 13 people (depending on the venue) allowing for lots of individual attention where desired. Clients are encouraged to offer feedback and ask questions during the class.

Comfortable clothing, fitted and stretchy fabrics are best to wear for Pilates as this allows me to see your movement. Trainers are not necessary as we exercise in socks or bare feet. Equipment such as blocks, bands and rollers are provided but a mat is essential to bring as most of the exercises are done on the floor. You can borrow a mat at your trial class and then purchase your own in time. Please bring along water if you would like to.

Classes are always full of all shapes and sizes so there is no need to feel intimidated or nervous. Pilates is not about fancy, complicated moves and no beginner is expected to know what to do. Detailed cues are provided in every class from beginners to advanced so you are given instructions every step of the way!

Please arrive a little bit earlier for you first class so we can discuss any issues. If you have any questions about your first class, please contact me.
